Health Insurance
The Massachusetts Universal Health Care Act requires all students enrolled at least three-quarter time (6.75 credits for graduate students; 9 credits for undergraduate students) to participate in a qualifying U.S. based health insurance program. Student Financial Services is responsible for collecting the waiver and enrollment forms for each academic year. Insurance policies from other countries are not accepted.
Waiving the Bentley University Insurance Plan:
Domestic students may waive the Student Health Insurance Plan offered through Bentley University if they have comparable insurance coverage. Undergraduate day students must waive prior to August 1 for the fall semester, or January 2 for the spring semester. Graduate and evening students must waive prior to the first day of classes. If the insurance is not waived prior to the above listed deadline, you will be required to pay for the Student Health Insurance Plan offered through Bentley University.
Enrolling in the Bentley University Insurance Plan:
If you wish to enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan offered through Bentley University, you must complete the enrollment form online by clicking the link below. Undergraduate students who wish to enroll in this plan must complete the enrollment form by August 1 for the fall semester, or January 2 for the spring semester. Graduate and evening students who wish to enroll in this plan must complete the enrollment form by the first day of classes.

Partial year Student Enrollment/Refunds:
Students eligible to waive the student health insurance plan through Bentley for the fall/spring semester are eligible to receive a prorated health insurance premium. Please contact the Office of Student Financial Services at: 781.891.2162 or email us at: student_financial_services@bentley.edu
International Students:
International students are required to be enrolled into the student health insurance plan at Bentley University, regardless of if they have purchased their own domestic health insurance plan. To view Bentley University's policy on insurance for international students, click here.
