Case Competition Opportunities

A variety of opportunities exist for graduate students to participate in case competitions to showcase their ability to analyze complex, strategic-level management decisions and offer solutions and recommendations. These competitions allow students to interact with corporate executives, demonstrate their presentation skills and test their skills against some of the best schools in the country.  For more information, contact Assistant Dean George Thompson (gthompson@bentley.edu).

A sample of competitions:

National Black MBA Association Case Competition
This competition is held each fall with the first prize totaling $12,000. A three-person team (plus alternates) is selected for competition. The team typically prepares for the competition over the summer. Bentley University's McCallum Graduate School of Business team, one of the 29 teams participating in 2003, was proud to bring home the third place trophy. National Society of Hispanic MBA's (NSHMBA)
This competition is held at the society's annual conference each year. Eligibility to participate is determined by the sponsoring group. For more information about eligibility for this competition, contact Dr. Earl Avery (eavery@bentley.edu). 

Bentley University Business Bowl
This is an intramural one-day competition allowing Bentley students to compete against their fellow classmates. Both undergraduate and graduate students form teams with each level engaging in competition by level. Judging is done by corporate executives, many of whom are Bentley alumni/ae. This competition, open to all students, allow students to create their own teams. Registration for the event is done in late fall with the actual competition held in February each year.
