Conversation Partners Program

The Conversation Partners  program was launched in 2007 as a joint effort between the McCallum Graduate School and the English for Speakers of other Languages Center (ESOL). The primary goal of the Conversation Partners program is to assist international students in developing key language skills through conversation about life and culture in the United States. To accomplish this goal, new international graduate students are paired with students, faculty and staff to begin conversation.

Partner conversations range from learning and practicing new words to conversations about today’s sports, news, and events. Partners structure their time together based on mutual goals and needs, but are expected to meet at least two times per month. Together partners determine the best times and locations to meet.

By participating in this group, we represent Bentley University and therefore adhere to the Bentley Beliefs and the Rights, Responsibilities and Policies of the University. These can be found online on pages 1 and 2 of The Graduate Student Handbook: www.bentley.edu/graduate/grad-handbook-2010-2011.cfm. Please familiarize yourself with these policies and beliefs.

The Conversation Partners program begins each September with a new group of students and partners. If you are interested in participating, please send an e-mail to ssimeone@bentley.edu. Here is the information needed:
