For all New International Graduate Students to The McCallum Graduate School of
Business:
                                       The Academic Edge Program
Strategies for Academic Success for International Graduate Students

We encourage you to take advantage of this program to increase your academic skills in advanced English while improving your writing, speaking, listening and pronunciation prior to beginning classes in the fall 2010 semester.  Your confidence level in using spoken and written English will be greatly strengthened!

The E-Program in advanced level English preparation will allow you to read and prepare business cases and then write a business case analysis, as well as allow you to converse and discuss program topics and assignments with other new international graduate students and me through social software like WIKIS and BLOGS.  In addition, you will learn about the best ways to document your resources using the popular MLA, APA and Chicago Styles of documentation.  As a student taking this pre-preparation program, you will also be able to listen to real lectures as well as real life radio shows to take notes and then to do practice tests to assess your performance.

We look forward to your participation in this exciting new online academic pre-preparation program.  Once here in the fall, you can receive ongoing academic support through my special tutorial services just for international graduate students.  If you intend to enroll in this program, please send an email to Professor Mary Wright at mwright@bentley.edu  stating your intention to participate.  You will later receive information explaining how to go online to the Bentley University BlackBoard (Bb) site to begin your lessons. There is no cost to this program, it is part of the academic support services offered by the McCallum Graduate School of Business.
