The Bentley Difference

Thank you for your interest in the Miller Center for Career Services. One of the greatest ways you can help your child in his/her career development is to have a solid understanding of our office and the services we provide.  As you get to know us, we believe you'll discover why Princeton Review 2009 ranked Bentley's Career Services as #12 nationally and our Career Center received an "A" ranking by Business Week.

Our Career Services staff is aligned to serve students in accordance with their academic major. Each staff member is a liaison to an academic department and prominent student organization and designs customized communication (Business Buzz, Career News Weekly, Career Success Journal) to students by major. This model provides added value to students as staff develop an expertise in certain industries and functions and strong relationships with faculty, alumni and employers. We believe this approach has meaningfully contributed to our consistently high placement rates at graduation and near-full employment within six months of graduation.

Unlike most institutions, at Bentley, Career Services is part of Corporate Relations, a structure which forges increasing connectivity between employer and student. Through on-campus recruiting and career fairs, internships, career programming and faculty/staff referrals, 68% of students employed students secured positions through a Bentley-sponsored activity. Please encourage your child to take advantage of our wide range of workshops, panels and networking events to support their career exploration process.

Despite strong placement results to date, 2009 will obviously be a more challenging year for job seekers. One of the most meaningful ways for you to help your Bentley student is to share career opportunities directly with our office. Whether you are looking for an intern or full-time hire, our Recruiting team is ready to assist with a range of services including: providing marketing materials about our graduates, helping you to post a position on our BentleyLink site, or scheduling on-campus interviews or recruiting events.
