Disclaimer Statement
Bentley University Career Services makes every effort to ensure the legitimacy and appropriateness of employers wishing to hire Bentley students. As part of this screening process, Bentley excludes recruiters from posting positions that require students to pay any funds. As a general precaution, Career Services advises students:
- NEVER WIRE FUNDS VIA WESTERN UNION, MONEYGRAM or any other wire service
- NEVER CASH A POSTAL ORDER OR MONEY ORDER even from the US post office and send part of the proceeds to a third party. This is a common scam, utilizing forged documents and you will be responsible for the full amount of the money order.
- NEVER GIVE OUT FINANCIAL INFORMATION (bank account number, social security number, etc.)
Before applying for a position, be sure to view the company website to be sure it looks legitimate and determine whether the employer e-mail is from a company e-mail account.
