Professional Associations
Joining a professional association is a great way to expand your professional network. As a member, you are eligible to:
- Access “members only” job boards
- Attend the group’s conferences and conventions
- Take professional courses and seminars
- Receive journals, newsletters and trade publications that will keep you up to date on trends, developments and movers and shakers in your field.
There is a professional association for almost any career field you can mention. A list of professional associations recommended by Bentley faculty members is below. Most libraries also have in their reference department the Encyclopedia of Associations and a directory called National Trade & Professional Associations.
