Welcome

Welcome to the International Projects meeting sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education's Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE) and hosted by Bentley University October 11 to 13, 2009. The participants at this meeting are grantees in the EU-US Atlantis Program, the EU-Canada Cooperation Program, and the Industrial Countries Instrument Program (ICI), an educational cooperation program for the European Union, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, and Australia. With such a range of programs, the meeting promises to deliver a lively exchange of ideas and best practices in international education.

The meeting is in Boston, Massachusetts, one of the most historic and beautiful cities in the United States. Our hotel, the Marriott Copley Place, is in the downtown area and convenient to public transportation. Many historic sites are within walking distance. The web site for the meeting includes information on logistics, hotel reservations information, the program agenda, things to see and do, and contact information for the meeting organizers. Grantees are responsible for their own expenses for travel to the meeting, lodging and selected meals. Be sure to make hotel reservations by September 1, 2009 to receive the conference rate.

Please note that on the contact page you will find the name of Diane Donnellan. For any information about local arrangements, please contact her at ddonnellan@bentley.edu. For information on the sessions/programs or if you are interested in making a presentation at the meeting, please contact Frank Frankfort at frank.frankfort@ed.gov.

The sessions/programs page is still under construction. We will make periodic changes in the program as we receive more information. We are looking forward to seeing you at the meeting.

The conference is sponsored by FIPSE and hosted by Bentley University.
