At Bentley, diversity is a top priority. The Office of the President’s Special Assistant for Equal Opportunity leads Bentley’s efforts to ensure diversity on campus, but every department and organization has embraced our commitment to diversity. Programs and initiatives are consistently underway across the campus with the aim of ensuring that all members of the Bentley community feel welcome here.

In addition, Bentley’s academic departments offer courses exploring a panoply of diversity-related issues. The courses bring students to consider such factors as social class, labor and economics, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, politics, intercultural relations, and religion. Bentley faculty members also dedicate their time and expertise to researching matters of diversity. For instance, faculty research projects have tracked women on corporate boards and in executive positions, examined sexual harassment and affirmative action, and explored the intersection of race and gender in European fiction prior to the 20th century.
