The Program
Introduction
Bentley, a national leader in business education, located near Boston, offers an innovative and exciting program, The International Summer Institute at Bentley (ISIB), designed to meet the needs of business students for summer study abroad in the United States. The program will be offered from July 2 to 22, 2007.
The program will be offered on the Bentley campus, located just minutes from downtown Boston. The ISIB offers participants an opportunity to learn about the business environment in the United States as well as the American history and culture through academic seminars, meeting with business executives, and cultural activities.

Academic Component
Focused on The American Business Environment in a Global Context, the ISIB will offer 60 hours of classroom instructions in seminar format on the topics listed below. The program also includes roundtable discussions with corporate executives.

- Entrepreneurial Thinking: A U.S. Context
- The Legal Environment of American Business
- Business Innovation through Advanced Information Technology

Cultural Component
Organized cultural activities and excursions will be an integral part of the ISIB. These activities are designed to enhance participants’ understanding of American culture and history. Furthermore, students will have ample time to learn about each other’s culture and explore the historic city of Boston.
Program participants will:
Enjoy excursions into Boston and New York City;
- Learn about American history by walking along Boston's historic Freedom Trail;
- Partake in Boston’s Independence Day celebration;
- See a Red Sox (baseball) game;
- Visit the Atlantic coast in the beautiful Sate of Maine, including opportunity to shop in the famous factory outlet stores of Freeport, Maine;
- Taste a traditional New England “Clambake” dinner;
- Take a sightseeing tour of New York City;
- See a Broadway show in New York;
- Participate in “National Night,” a Bentley event that will introduce the culture of the participants’ home country through a variety of cultural presentations such as skits, dances and songs performed by participants;
- Interact with Bentley students who will accompany participants to all cultural activities and excursions; and
- Meet American and international students enrolled at Bentley.
